A difficult Memorial Day

It is day three of the hardest thing I have ever done. I can't talk! I have been horse for a week and a half. This has happened off and on for about 6 weeks. I go to the doc and she tells me..
"VOICE REST" for 3 days.
If it gets better.....then fine otherwise I need to go to an ENT doc to check it out. I may have nodules down there. Great... You know of course that they go up your nose to check that out! Can't wait...
My kids keep asking asking me stupid questions or just plain ignore me when I try to get their attention. (what else is new) Then get pissed when I whisper to get them..

Remember whispering is a NO NO
It is Memorial Day weekend and I have 2 cookouts . FAMILY cookouts... A bunch Italians talking at once!!!!! And I am writing on a whiteboard. It sucks! I can't write as fast as people talk!

I was at a the "Bass Pro Shop" in Foxboro and wrote down the question "Where are the changing rooms?" The girl actually walks me there like I was crippled or something.

(BTW a great store... HUGE... many attractions... things for kids and adults.. I have never seen so many fishing poles in one place.)

People either yell answers to me like I am deaf or they whisper back!!! Too funny. When I was at one BBQ I had to whisper (a NO NO ) to the little kids because Duh... they can't read yet..

They whispered right back at me ... I laughed so hard..

I am on day three and I am going to the pool. This ought to be really interesting. I am going to print up a paper that explains the situation and just let people read it! I need to just bring my MP3 and ignore everyone.

So here I go again...

MEMORY WALK FOR ALZHEIMER'S

As you may know, I have a loved one who has been affected by Alzheimer's. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 60... very young. she suffered 8 long years with this humiliating disease. She died on Mother's day 2002. A very special gift to us all. She was supposed to be transfered to a nursing home the next day. We had promised NOT to put her in a home but we were no longer able to safely care for her at home. We kept our promise and she ended her suffering.....
Because I have seen firsthand the impact this disease has, I am participating in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®. Funds raised through Memory Walk help support scientific investigations into better treatments and a possible cure for Alzheimer’s. And for the millions already affected by the disease, Memory Walk donations help to provide care, support and education programs. Please help me make a difference by supporting me with a donation.Thank you in advance for your support.
